As you know, in order to get more traffic to your web site, you need to increase it's exposure to the world. One way is through improved search engine placement. To achieve this there are several steps that you can take.
The first step is through keyword selection. The secret is to select a keyword phrase that many people search on but few sites use. The second step is to optimize your web site for these keywords. Search engines use a rating system which evaluates the frequency of keywords and other factors. This leads to the third step, increasing the number of links to your site. The final step is to make sure the search engines know about your site.

Step 1 - $150 Generate some fifty or more keyword phrases and evaluate them. In this case, determine how often the keyword phrases were used for searches on overture.com, in the last month as well as determine how many results were obtained by the MSN search engine. By comparing these numbers, the keyword phrases can be numerically ranked. You will then select ten to twelve phrases to be optimized in the next step. Step 2 - $150 Optimize the home page for the selected keyword phrases. The look and feel of the site will be maintained. The changes will most likely be incorporated into the alternate tags for pictures and the Meta tags used by the search engines. Changes to the text on the home page may also be recommended. Step 3 - $150 Links are an important factor in determining your search engine placement. The more links to your site, the higher your ranking will be. I will validate up to five your outgoing links and check to see that these sites have returned the favour. I will aide these other sites in creating links to your site, by providing them with text and pictures inhtml format if necessary. For additional links email me for a quote at mikemassullo@gheneterprises.ca Step 4 - $120 I will create a list of the top fifteen to twenty five search engines and detail your options with respect to making a submittal to them. Many search engines have introduced a fee to submit your site to them as well as bidding on keywords. I will make recommendations to you prioritizing any spending. Note that, there are still many free submissions, they tend to take longer. Also because the search engines often use the same database, it is possible to get multiple listings off of one submission. I will carry out the submissions for your, after you have approved them and made arrangements for any expenditures. Step 5 - $65 per month. The last step is to monitor the progress of your site's popularity and taking action when required. Your ISP should be able to give you reports on your traffic volume. I can generate reports outlining your ranking on several search engines for what ever keywords we select. By evaluating these reports, steps can be taken to improve your search engine rankings resulting in higher traffic volumes for your web site. Search engines also look for recent changes. A site that has not been changed in a while will receive a lower ranking. To facilitate this, I would replace the pictures and their description tags, on the home page once a month. |
