Eight fighters from around the world compete in an elite martial arts tournament hosted by the evil Heihachi Mishima. Once the seven other fighters have been defeated you must fight your character's sub-boss and then Heihachi himself. All of the warriors have their own motive for entering the tournament. For example, Heihachi's own son, Kazuya Mishima, enters to take over the family business.
